"Do It Anyway"

1. The version found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta:

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

-this version is credited to Mother Teresa

911

I apologize for no daily blogs lately and I promise to do better! I have been CRAZY, as always, working on weddings, children pics, families and seniors, and some really neat new things to come! Fridays, I plan to blog alot about nothing so stay tuned to Frivolous Friday!

I woke up today, remembering. It is 9-11-08 and I pray God will always watch over us, and am thankful for the times HE has already. I think sometimes we forget, when things are NOT going wrong, that is SUCH A BLESSING!

Enjoy this photo today of my brother. He is a recruiter for the Army National Guard. Served in Iraq, Weston Unit, Army National Guard, for what seemed like a lifetime, but really was over a year. Here Michael is on Fourth of July, playing "The Star-Spangled Banner", on his banjo. He just started taking banjo lessons, so let me just say, I should have video-ed it instead! What a Hoot!

My brother is incredible! He served in the Navy for about 10 years after High School and his LOVE for THE UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA is just so Amazing. I love you Michael! Here are pictures of him in Iraq.....

Frivolous Friday - Movies for Brides or just the Lighthearted

Rent "Runaway Bride" 1999, Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. I JUST LOVE THIS MOVIE! And I am watching it again for the third time on my laptop as I work on pictures today! I can so imagine a few of my brides that should have......and MANY, who shouldn't......

Frivolous Fridays!

From Flowers to Skulls

First of all, I do not approve of my kids wearing items that look dead.....but somehow, the flowers slipped by my Mother, and the rest is history. With that said, here is the scoop......

Ean and Mica had some "Mie-Mie" time (my mother), in which Mie-Mie says she can buy anything for my kids cause she is the "Mie-Mie". Well, Mie-Mie bought Mica the "kwel-est" shoes according to Mica, yet when Mica got home, she KNEW I would NOT approve, and just gave me puppy dog eyes, thinking she could get them past me!

Mie-Mie's response: "I thought they were flowers!" That is so typical of Mie-Mie! Needless to say, Mica wont be wearing them to school or church!

Two days later, I see my son Ean with his new bike helmet that slipped into the house without my awareness. I say to him "Ean, YOU CAN'T wear THAT helmet!" Ean responds, "Mom, it is not a skull. It is just an X-Ray....[pause]...., that looks mean." ............laughing on a technicality ..........Ayyee Ayyee, what am I to do.

Pure Sweetness

I had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie in her own environment, which I think is perfect for this age. She so loves her room and wanted to show me everything! As a mom myself, this is how I always want to remember my babies.

We ventured outside on a very hot day, so I think this little sweetness's favorite poses were as herself. Naked, well, somewhat; as she blows us kisses................

Back to School!

Thank Goodness! While I did enjoy being with the kids longer through the day, it's nice to get my routine back together!

This morning, my kids were so excited, with a little hesitation and anticipation of meeting new friends and what the year will bring! I am thankful they enjoy school.

Sister and Brother!

I just love these pics of sister and brother! They remind me so much of my kids, just 5 or 4 years ago.....

These next two, I would have in a two opening matted frame side by side or hung side by side in the same kind of frame.....How sweet, each other helping the other!

Jaclyn and Erik's Story

I like to think of myself as a storyteller. I love stories, especially stories of real lives. Here is the beginning of the greatest story of Jaclyn and Erik's life set to their song as they danced that day. They are going to make beautiful babies!

My New Toy

Before I left for the beach, I bought the new Canon powershot G9. I did not want to lug all my camera equipment, so I left them in cool storage with my watchdog friend! I knew the G9 did amazing things, like, attach my external flash to it, shoot in RAW, let me change shutter speed, ISO and aperture, and speaking of aperture it goes all the way down to f 2.8. So, for regular viewers, just appreciate the pictures. For serious ones wanting an SLR point and shoot, BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT!

I am hoping to talk the kids into a photo session on the beach tonight. Not sure if it will happen or not, but if it does, I will post them later. Enjoy these for now!

The Sunrise

I got up real early this morning for a walk and quiet time. Spent about 2 1/2 hours just walking and enjoying the beauty. I took my new Canon Powershot G9 point and shoot with me and captured this.....
