Wow, what a ride 2010 was! I am so blessed to have such amazing people to have faith in me to capture their memories! This month, I went down 2010 memory lane and picked out over 150 of my favorite photos wanting to share them with the masses. Then, I thought 150 was too many to scroll through, so I painfully, and I mean PAINFULLY, narrowed them down to 75. On my Photos By Design Facebook page, you can have the opportunity to vote on your favorite photo. The photo with the most "likes" will get a FREE 16X24 print of that photo! So share with your friends, and I hope to make this an annual giving event!
Thank You All for your faith in me....
Shelly

Ashley + Martin = Married! Tears To You Two!
I was totally blown away at this gorgeous wedding, but even more so with the edits. When I was going through them for the first time on the computer, I found my self struck with tears. Good Tears. Tears of watching Love, tears to two families united with a bond so tight you just know Ashley and Martin will be together, through this life and beyond. Tears to good friends, the bridal party. Tears of good emotions, tears of a Father, so proud of his baby girl. Tears of a Mother, loving her sweet child....All good tears.....God Bless Ashley and Martin!

Something special about renewal of vows. Committed to each other, 100% plus! To have the spark and the love for each other, as I saw a little over a week ago, tested through 10 years already, and it seems like 10 years only added to the love. Congrats, Congrats! I love their children in these pictures, too! Actually, the highlights below, really show why these pictures are so special!

The Wedding Dress!
Here is a Fun Fact about Wedding Dresses, with pictures from three different weddings I shot! I am so amazed how beautiful a dress can be, on and off! ;)
"Traditionally, brides did not wear white wedding gowns. Through the 18th century, most brides just wore their Sunday best to their wedding. Red was a favorite during the Middle Ages in Europe. Other colors were worn for symbolic reasons: blue meant constancy and green meant youth. As years passed, white was worn as a symbol of purity. Today, white merely symbolizes the wedding and is worn by any bride."

Fun Wedding Fact: "The Cake"
The next several days I will be blogging about some fun wedding facts I found! What a Hoot! I'm so glad we have come along way since the Ancient Romans! I found this fun fact about wedding cakes!
"The wedding cake has always played an important part in the wedding. Ancient Romans broke a cake over the bride's head to symbolize fertility or abundance. Many other cultures dropped wheat, flour or cake on the bride's head, and then ate the crumbs for good luck. The early British baked baskets of dry crackers, and every guest took one home after the wedding. In medieval times, guests brought small cakes and piled them on a table. The bride and groom then attempted to kiss over the cakes. Eventually, a young baker decided to put all the cakes together and cover them with frosting, thus the tiered wedding cake was born."
